APPLICATION: Safety group for pressure-resistant (closed) wall-mounted storage heaters and under-sink small storage heaters according to DIN 1988, DIN 4753 and DIN EN 1488, up to a supply pressure of max. 0.48 MPa in the cold water line. The assembly includes a shut-off valve, backflow preventer and a replaceable diaphragm safety valve with 0.6 MPa response pressure. The overpressure safety valve prevents the permissible operating pressure of the hot water storage tank from being exceeded. In addition, the KV 40 safety group is equipped with a pressure reducing valve (pressure reducer). The backflow preventer prevents the backflow of heated potable water into the piping system. The expansion water can be discharged into the drain line via the enclosed funnel siphon with rosette and connection accessories. EQUIPMENT: Pressure reducing valve, safety valve, shut-off valve, backflow preventer, funnel siphon, rosette, chrome-plated connection accessories. INSTALLATION AND SERVICE: The KV 40 safety group is simply installed into the cold water supply line before the hot water storage tank according to the specification design. For quick and easy maintenance, the safety valve can be lifted via a rotary handle. The pressure reducing valve according to DIN EN 1567 can reduce an excessively high cold water inlet pressure to the required system pressure. In addition, the cold water supply line of the subsequent installation (e.g. a hot water storage tank) can be closed via the shut-off valve, thus enabling service-friendly maintenance work. The components of the KV 40 are interchangeable. SAFETY AND QUALITY: The KV 40 safety group consists of a high-gloss chrome-plated brass housing, is manufactured with low lead content and is DVGW tested. The safety valve is component-tested. The connection pipes are made of chrome-plated copper pipe. The plastic parts comply with the KTW recommendation. All materials are designed and manufactured according to the recognized rules of technology.
